Austin is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Austin is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Have had multiple transmissions built or repaired by them, and they always have performed top notch work. Will be my go to for manual transmission repairs for my customers.

Have been patronizing Pistoleβs for nearly 20 years. Have had them do everything from diesel pickup transmission rebuilds, to swapping differential and inspecting Front wheel drive transmissions. Old school, cash only, highly credible and knowledgeable folks. When they retire weβre all gonna be in a world of hurt!

Steven is first class. I needed an old school manual gearbox and transfer case rebuilt and he was recommended by no less than 3 of the bigger shops as the go-to guy for working on old iron. He was great to deal with and absolutely knows manual transmissions inside and out. He got the job done quick and the price was great.

They did A good job , thus far , 6 weeks out, they could use some people skills I was quoted 400 and turned out to be 650. I didnt mind paying it, but at least be nice about it. Also they only deal in cash , which is kinda inconvenient nowadays . 5/1/2023
